Handforged Steel Pendant


The symbol of the cross has its roots deeper than the christian association one can first relate to it, not to mention it is as old as our civilization. Despite the inquiry the symbol keeps nourishing, it has been made here with two principal meanings.
The first one is _orientation. The cross celebrates human nature, stretched between horizontality & verticality, earth acompanying cosmos as well as the four cardinal points, the equinoxes alongside the solstices. It is a map of the junction of two axes where humanity finds itself.  
This piece also emphasizes the alchemist's vision for whom the erect branch refers to masculinity and the horizontal one to feminity. Their conjunction is the marriage of the polarized experience of this plane, the union of the opposites in the human dance.
