As lovers of words & writers since the beginning of their individual artistic exploration, Essai Bourdon created a physical home for one of their shared poems. This one has been written with the "Cadavre Exquis" technique which is a graphic game of collective writing that allows to explore the subconscious. It is a chaotic, non linear & experimental writing technique designed by the Surrealists in 1925.
Even though it is not the goal of such practice, the emergence of coherence during a "Cadavre Exquis" is seen as an expression of the integrity of the moment shared during poetic exploration.
Kaputt Insula
Urban exploring in all of its pilgrimages, Essai Bourdon had the chance to tumble in an abandoned tavern located on a wild Corsican beach. Decaying spaces raise the intuition of the near collapse of the thermo-dynamic society as we know it.
Fashion as performance art and as a statement of inner hidden expressions. Spirits whispering threw costumes and garments to honor their location of creation. We shot with a mask made with a cow skull, a decaying handsewn dress & a leather prothesis for the wounded ones.
